GoldenGroove Records

Built in Showit

Goldengroove Records leans into a warm, retro-vintage aesthetic that feels perfectly at home for a record shop with a Nashville soul. The palette pairs a punchy burnt orange with a rich teal-turquoise, set against warm cream and near-black backgrounds — a combination that reads equal parts mid-century diner and eclectic record store. A custom rounded logotype and playful vinyl-record icon reinforce a handcrafted, nostalgic feel, while full-bleed photography of the actual shop grounds the brand in a real, lived-in place rather than a generic template.

APAC's design takes a traditional, institutional approach that signals credibility and authority — fitting for a professional membership organization. The palette is anchored by a deep navy blue paired with a warm gold accent, a combination that reads trustworthy and slightly official, like a university seal or a governing board's letterhead. The circular compass-and-wing logo reinforces that "established institution" feel, and it's repeated consistently across the header, hero section, and footer for strong brand continuity.

The Alumni microsite carries over the same institutional navy-and-white color scheme and traditional, trustworthy tone as the main Oakland City University site, but with a warmer, more personal execution suited to its audience. The alumni shield logo in the header echoes the main site's crest-style branding, keeping the two properties clearly part of the same institutional family while leaning into warmth and personal connection rather than the main site's recruitment-and-conversion focus.

Dopamine Design

Built in Showit

Dopamine Design commits fully to its name with a maximalist, color-drenched aesthetic that feels like stepping into a piece of art rather than browsing a website. The palette is bold and saturated — hot pink, kelly green, sky blue, and coral all sit side by side without apologizing for it, echoing the "unapologetically bold" philosophy stated right in the copy. Oversized, hand-drawn floral illustrations (in a Matisse-cutout style) sprawl across the hero section and repeat as decorative motifs throughout, giving the whole site a cohesive, botanical-meets-pop-art identity.

Coffee House

Built in Showit

Coffee Shop opts for a moody, editorial aesthetic that leans into atmosphere over brightness. The near-black background dominates the page, letting warm, ambient photography — exposed brick, string lights, a hand-chalked menu board, steam and candlelight — do the heavy lifting on mood. It reads more like a design magazine feature than a typical cafe site, which suits a brand positioning itself around community and craft rather than quick service.

Romance Author

Built in Showit

Romance Author leans into a soft, dreamy, editorial feel that mirrors the genre it's selling. The hazy, oversized peony photograph filling the hero section is softened with a light overlay so the flowing script headline can float on top with plenty of contrast. That elegant script pairs with the logo's matching cursive wordmark, giving the whole top of the page a romantic, handwritten intimacy, while the muted dusty-rose header bar and warm brown CTA button keep the palette gentle rather than saccharine.

Boho Photographer

Built in Showit

This site leans into a soft, earthy, romantic aesthetic built around a muted sage-green palette that feels natural and organic rather than trendy. The header photo sets an intimate, styled, flatlay tone right from the first scroll, and the italic serif type throughout  adds a handwritten, personal warmth that suits a photographer selling emotion and connection over polish.
