Let’s Get Real

I’ve had a lot going on in life lately. My position as Webmaster at a small religiously-affiliated University may be going away with the closing of the school. We expect to know something next week, but with the last day being the end of May (if the school closes), I’m out here trying to improve my skills and potentially take on new design clients.

In the past, I’ve only taken one or two clients each year, working their projects in around my position at the University and my family. With all the changes, I’m ready for a change too. So I’ll be taking on more clients in the near future with the help of the lovely people at the Wealthy Web Designer Academy.

So far the academy has taught me a new platform for creating website designs and given me the opportunity to brush up on my business skills. There are so many things I never thought of doing – like setting up an LLC to keep business and personal finances separate.

I’m sure those sorts of things come naturally to business minded people, but I have always been a creative. I want to create beauty in the world whether I’m painting, hanging out in my garden, or designing a website.
